What can I use to collect my sorted populations? How many populations can I collect?

You can collect up to four populations on any of the cell sorters (unless you are sorting into plates, in which case only one population can be collected at a time).

When collecting into tubes, the following formats are compatible with all of the cell sorters:

  • 1.5/1.7ml eppendorfs

  • 5ml FACS tubes (hard or soft)

  • 10-15ml centrifuge tubes

  • 50ml centrifuge tubes.

All of the cell sorters are also capable of sorting into any tissue culture plate format, but if you are using one of the Influx sorters please allow a little more setup time at the beginning of your booking as the software interface for plate sorting is more complex in the Spigot software.
